My favorite style of photography, when it comes to the wedding day, is photojournalistic, meaning I record my surroundings with very little posing. While posing is essential at times and often helps you feel more comfortable in front of the camera, the majority of my wedding photography is not directed— but simply taken.
One of the reasons photojournalistic photography comes more naturally to me is because human nature has always fascinated me. I notice gestures, moments, and artistic scenes that many tend to pass by. Sometimes it drives others crazy because I’m always saying, “hey did you notice…,” but with my photography, it’s been invaluable. You could say my camera is like a painter’s brush—I “paint” human nature as I see it.
I would love to work with couples that value this artistic style, connect with it and most importantly want their wedding captured this way. If this is you, let’s chat…
